Introduction

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) is a university approved by the Ministry of Education of China and established in accordance with the Sino foreign Cooperative Education Regulations. The university takes it as its responsibility to create a first-class research-oriented university based in China and facing the world, and is committed to cultivating innovative high-level talents with an international perspective, Chinese tradition, and social responsibility. The characteristics of universities include an international atmosphere, a teaching environment that emphasizes both Chinese and English, a traditional academy system, general education, new interdisciplinary settings, and a student-centered educational philosophy.

Currently, over 7000 outstanding students from around the world are studying at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). After seven years of development, the construction of university disciplines has gradually improved. There are seven colleges and one graduate school, including the School of Economics and Management, the School of Science and Technology, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Life and Health Sciences, the School of Data Science, the School of Medicine, and the School of Music, offering 22 undergraduate majors and 24 graduate majors.

Universities attach great importance to international exchange and the cultivation of students' international perspectives. As of March 2021, CUHK (Shenzhen) has conducted substantive exchanges and cooperation with 110 overseas renowned university partners, covering 29 countries and regions around the world, and nearly 200 various international cooperation projects. More than 60% of students have overseas study experience, ranking among the top in domestic universities.

The university is recruiting globally and has established an internationally renowned faculty team. As of the end of March 2021, the university has introduced nearly 400 world-renowned teachers, including 5 Nobel laureates, 2 Turing laureates, 1 Fields Prize winner, 17 domestic and foreign academicians, 19 IEEE members, 56 national level expert talents, and more than 260 high-level talent projects selected from provincial and municipal levels. At present, 100% of the teachers introduced have teaching or research experience in world-class universities, and are a group of excellent teachers with an international perspective, innovative spirit, and enthusiasm for teaching and educating.

Since its establishment, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) has been guided by innovation and guided by the needs of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Its research areas align with national strategic development needs, covering local emerging industries and future industrial development directions, including artificial intelligence and robotics, big data and data science, signal and information processing, neuromorphic research, biomedicine, bioinformation, advanced materials, new electronic components, smart grids, and more New types of networks, financial logistics, etc.
