On November 14 , 2020 , the Sino-German College  of Intelligent Manufacturing held the "2020 Intelligent Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence Innovation Integration Development Forum" in the public teaching building of Shenzhen Technology University. Special guests from major universities and well-known companies gathered at this forum. The forum was chaired by Professor Lu Qitao, Dean of the Sino-German Institute of Intelligent Manufacturing, and Professor Wang Hongzhi, Vice Dean, and Professor Chen Fei. Professor Xu Gang, Vice President of Shenzhen University of Technology, attended the opening ceremony of this forum. 

This forum mainly conducts in-depth discussions on the theme of integrated development of intelligent manufacturing and artificial intelligence innovation. In the morning, six special guest speakers from universities and enterprises gave keynote reports in sequence. They mainly focused on the construction and discipline development of intelligent manufacturing for students' comprehensive ability cultivation, and the evolution and management of current enterprise digital twins. They also discussed intelligent manufacturing and artificial intelligence. He gave a wonderful speech on the innovative integrated development of intelligence in universities and enterprises.

After the guest speakers reported, the teachers of the college asked questions and actively discussed and communicated in the direction they were interested in. They came up with new ideas on the collision of the development and construction of intelligent manufacturing and artificial intelligence in colleges and universities, and gained more insights into cultivating innovative intelligent manufacturing talents. Think deeply.

In the afternoon, guests and teachers from the college held roundtable discussions on three themes: "Technical issues faced by traditional manufacturing and the future development of intelligent manufacturing" and "Integrated development of intelligent manufacturing and artificial intelligence, new requirements and challenges for discipline construction" . Through active exchanges and interactions between guests from enterprises and university teachers, we conducted in-depth discussions on the challenges and opportunities currently faced in the direction of intelligent manufacturing and artificial intelligence.

After the forum, Vice President Professor Wang Hongzhi led corporate guests to the National Biomedical Industrial Park to visit the fiber optic sensing laboratory and the Machine Vision Technology Research Institute. Professor Chen Zhichao and Professor Gu Leye received and led the corporate guests to visit the laboratory's instruments and equipment. Professor Chen Zhichao showed the guests the exhibits of the Hi-Tech Fair and the laboratory and gave a brief explanation of their applications.

Then I visited the Siemens Intelligent Manufacturing Production Line and Metal 3D Printing Laboratory at the Shijing Training Base. Teacher Luo Yixing from the college introduced the function and structure of the production line, the composition of each work station, the process of producing crystal USB flash drives, and the equipment to the corporate guests. operation, and also introduced how the college's production line carries out teaching and scientific research work.
